A popular donut shop in Fort Collins has announced that it will close permanently at the end of this week, leaving a gap in the city’s breakfast scene.
FoCo DoCo, which opened in July 2018 inside The Exchange in Old Town, has built a loyal following for its hot, “Colorado Style” donuts. Known for offering a wide variety of unique flavors and gluten-free options, the shop has served its customers through a convenient walk-up window.
The family-owned business has become a local favorite by sourcing ingredients from across Colorado. From Palisade peaches and cherries to trans-fat-free sunflower oil, many of the flavors are inspired by the state’s agriculture. FoCo DoCo’s menu features a rotating selection of seasonal donuts, including current favorites like Apple Cider Crunch, The Great Pumpkin, and Maple Bacon.
In addition to their donuts, the shop serves coffee from Fort Collins’ Bean Cycle Roasters and milk from Morning Fresh Dairy, both local partners.
Sunday will be FoCo DoCo’s final day in business. Customers are encouraged to stop by before the shop closes its doors for good. In addition to donuts, the shop will be offering discounted merchandise at its location at 215 North College Avenue.
Fans of the shop will surely miss its one-of-a-kind offerings, but the legacy of FoCo DoCo’s locally inspired flavors will be remembered by many.
