The Mini Bar Donuts + Coffee, a Jacksonville dessert shop known for its made-to-order mini donuts, will close permanently after nearly five years of operation. The store, located at 10618 Deerwood Park Blvd. in the Gate Parkway area, will serve its final customers on November 24.
Owners Brooke and Chase Sams announced the closure on social media Wednesday, explaining that they had received an offer they “couldn’t refuse.” “We’ve loved the last 4 ½ years that we’ve spent here, but this will allow us to explore new opportunities personally and for the brand,” the couple wrote on Facebook.
The Sams confirmed that a new business, unrelated to The Mini Bar, will take over the storefront. They did not disclose details about the new business but said the space will be rebranded and the new owner will make their own announcement when ready.
The closure marks the end of the brand’s Gate Parkway location, which was the last remaining store after the Sams closed other locations, including the original Jacksonville Beach store in 2023 and a Fleming Island shop in November 2022.
Describing the closure as “truly bittersweet,” the couple expressed gratitude for the support they had received from customers over the years.
Until its final day, The Mini Bar will continue to operate from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
