Krispy Kreme is celebrating World Kindness Day by giving away free dozens of its iconic Original Glazed doughnuts to the first 500 guests at participating locations across the U.S. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. No purchase is necessary to receive the free doughnuts.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based doughnut chain said the giveaway is part of a global initiative to promote kindness. Krispy Kreme hopes to inspire people to spread positivity with small acts of kindness, like sharing a sweet treat.
“World Kindness Day reminds us that even small gestures, like offering a doughnut, can make a big difference in someone’s day,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s Global Chief Brand Officer. “We hope this giveaway encourages many more acts of kindness.”
Krispy Kreme operates in 40 countries worldwide, and many of its stores will mark the occasion with similar gestures of goodwill.
Guests who receive a free dozen are encouraged to share their acts of kindness on social media. By using the hashtag #KrispyKreme and tagging @krispykreme, they can inspire others to do the same.
This giveaway follows the recent launch of four new doughnuts inspired by Thanksgiving pies. Among them is the Apple Crumble Doughnut, filled with apple pie filling and topped with pie crust, buttercream, and cinnamon cookie crumbs. The Lemon Creme Pie Doughnut, featuring a blueberry topping and streusel, is also making its debut.
The free doughnut giveaway offers a sweet way for Krispy Kreme to celebrate kindness while treating customers to a classic favorite.
