Krispy Kreme is sweetening up Election Day by offering a free Original Glazed doughnut at participating locations across the U.S. on November 5. The deal is available to all customers, and no proof of voting is required to claim the free doughnut. However, the company encourages everyone to vote.
“Celebrate your voice AND make your day sweeter!” Krispy Kreme said in an Instagram post.
In addition to the free doughnut, Krispy Kreme will also be handing out “I Voted” stickers at participating locations, while supplies last.
There are a few restrictions: The promotion is limited to one free doughnut per customer, and it is only available for in-store and drive-thru orders. The offer does not apply at grocery stores, convenience stores, or locations like McDonald’s.
Residents of Puerto Rico, who cannot vote in U.S. presidential elections, are not eligible for this offer.
Several other food brands and restaurants are also marking Election Day with special deals. Grubhub is offering discounts from November 4–10, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is offering a discount on regular coffee, and Dave & Buster’s is serving $5 beers all day.
