Hong Kong – Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) has announced the grand opening of the first Mister Donut store in Hong Kong. This marks the popular Japanese doughnut chain’s entry into the city and is part of its plan to expand in the region.
The new store is located in an art-themed shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. It features a variety of doughnuts made with high-quality ingredients, just like those in Japan. One of the standout items is the signature Pon de Ring, known for its soft, airy, and chewy texture, which has gained popularity both locally and internationally.
Jimmy Chiang, the associate director-general of Investment Promotion, expressed his enthusiasm for the brand’s launch. “We are happy to see that a famous Japanese food brand has established its foothold in Hong Kong. The city, as a well-known food paradise, is an ideal place for companies to promote their brands to the world. We wish the brand every success in Hong Kong and beyond,” he stated.
Mister Donut has entered the Hong Kong market through a partnership between Duskin Co. Ltd. and local franchisee Dragon Circle Enterprise Limited.
Duskin is not only focusing on Hong Kong but is also looking to enter more Asian markets while strengthening its presence in current locations.
Fanny Su, CEO of Dragon Circle Enterprise Limited, shared her optimism about Mister Donut’s potential in Hong Kong. “Our market research shows that there is a huge potential customer base in Hong Kong. They are very excited about the Mister Donut brand coming to the city. That is why we are bringing the brand here. We plan to open a second shop by the end of this year, aiming for a total of nine stores by 2027,” Su explained.
