Mister Donut Opens First Store in Hong Kong.
Invest Hong Kong announced that the Japanese doughnut chain Mister Donut has officially opened its first store in Hong Kong on October 26. This marks the brand’s entry into the city as part of its regional expansion plan.
The opening is a collaboration between Duskin Co Ltd from Japan and local franchisee Dragon Circle Enterprise Limited.
Dr. Jimmy Chiang, Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, expressed enthusiasm for the brand’s launch. “We are happy to see that a famous Japanese food brand has established its foothold in Hong Kong,” he said. “As a well-known food paradise, the city is an ideal place for companies to promote their brands globally. We wish Mister Donut every success in Hong Kong and beyond.”
Fanny Su, CEO of Dragon Circle Enterprise Limited, sees significant potential for Mister Donut in Hong Kong. “Our market research indicates a large potential customer base in the city,” Su stated. “People are excited about the Mister Donut brand coming to Hong Kong, which is why we are bringing it here. We plan to open a second shop by the end of this year, with a total of nine by 2027.”
The new store is located in an art shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. It offers a wide range of popular doughnuts made with the same quality ingredients used in Japan. The signature doughnut, the Pon de Ring, is particularly favored both in Japan and internationally for its soft, airy, and chewy texture.
