Krispy Kreme Celebrates First Responders with Free Treats.
Krispy Kreme is expressing gratitude to first responders by offering complimentary treats on First Responders Day, observed on Monday, October 28. According to a press release, the popular doughnut chain will provide a free small coffee—either hot or iced—and a free doughnut of their choice to first responders. This offer is available in-store or at the drive-thru, with no purchase necessary.
Each first responder can redeem one free doughnut, although items from the Krispy Kreme x Ghostbusters collaboration are excluded from this promotion.
First Responders Day was established by Congress in 2017 to honor the vital work of paramedics, EMTs, firefighters, police officers, and 911 operators.
Krispy Kreme has a history of community outreach, frequently offering free doughnuts to students who achieve A’s, individuals affected by significant events like the global IT outage, and voters on Super Tuesday, among others.
In addition to this initiative, Krispy Kreme regularly celebrates various holidays with free treats and special deals. These include Independence Day, St. Patrick’s Day, National Coffee Day, and National Doughnut Day.
For Halloween 2024, Krispy Kreme will provide customers with a free glazed doughnut, provided they are in costume while visiting the store.
Krispy Kreme is also showcasing a selection of seasonal doughnut varieties this year, including its Ghostbusters-themed treats. This collaboration features four unique doughnuts: the Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut, Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut, Slimer Doughnut, and a pull-apart Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut with a gooey marshmallow center. Accompanying these treats is Slimer’s Slime-ade, a green twist on lemonade. These special items will be available until Halloween.
Other seasonal offerings include fall-flavored treats such as the Maple Buttercreme Doughnut, Oatmeal Kreme Pie Doughnut, Salted Caramel Cheesecake Doughnut, and the popular Spiced Apple Filled Doughnut, making a return this year.
