A new doughnut shop has opened its doors in Goleta, bringing a variety of flavors to local residents. SloDoCo Donuts launched quietly on Wednesday in the Target Shopping Center, much to the excitement of the community.
“We are thrilled to finally be open,” said Laura Krause, the business manager. “We are very grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received from Goleta over the past two days.”
Located at 290 Storke Road, SloDoCo Donuts is open 24 hours a day. Customers can choose from a wide selection of flavors, including lavender, mint matcha, vanilla, strawberry, maple, and devil’s food, among many others.
In addition to the doughnuts, the shop offers free Wi-Fi and a full espresso bar that serves beverages like matcha lattes and cold brew coffee.
“We have over 100 varieties of doughnuts available every day, along with fun monthly specials,” Krause added.
The shop occupies a site that was previously a mattress store. Krause hopes it will become a popular hangout spot for both families and students.
The store features around 18 tables, including a large conference table suitable for study groups or meetings. There is also a cozy seating area with three leather couches in front of a large bookcase filled with books and games.
“Come on in, Goleta,” Krause encouraged. “Grab a hot cup of coffee, a fresh doughnut, and make yourself at home.”
SloDoCo Donuts was founded in 2010 by Jacob and Jessie Pickering, who met at a doughnut shop. The company currently has three other locations: two in San Luis Obispo and one in Atascadero.
