Donut Crazy Closes Locations in Fairfield and Branford.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Donut Crazy, a popular chain of donut shops in Connecticut, has recently closed its locations in Fairfield and Branford.
The specific dates of these closures are unclear, as neither shop is currently listed on the company’s website.
Despite these closures, Donut Crazy continues to operate in Westport, Shelton, New Haven, Stratford, and West Hartford.
The Fairfield location opened approximately a year ago at 2385 Black Rock Turnpike, previously home to a Lovebird fried chicken restaurant that closed in January 2023. The Branford shop reopened in 2018 after a short closure earlier that same year, situated at 972 West Main St.
Mark Barnhart, Fairfield’s director of Community and Economic Development, commented on the closures, stating, “Sometimes, despite everyone’s best efforts and intentions, it doesn’t quite work out as planned. It’s a very competitive marketplace, and I’m sure the space won’t be vacant for long.”
