Federal Donuts Opens New Location in Delaware County.

Federal Donuts and Chicken has launched its first physical location in Delaware County, specifically in Radnor. The new restaurant, covering 1,250 square feet, is situated at 232 Radnor Chester Road and can accommodate 20 customers. It employs around 10 staff members.

Franchisee Chris Magarity, who is also the COO of Park Avenue Cars, noted that the restaurant’s proximity to Radnor High School and Villanova University makes it a perfect fit for the brand. Magarity partnered with Michael Sloane, the owner of Park Avenue Cars, and Michael Heller, chairman and CEO of Crozen O’Connor, to acquire Federal Donuts locations.

In addition to the Radnor site, two more restaurants are set to open in Willow Grove and Conshohocken by the end of this year.

The majority stake in Federal Donuts is now held by a franchise investment group from NewSpring, a private equity firm based in Radnor. This group has plans for nine additional locations in suburban areas, as reported by Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

“It’s such a cool brand. It’s a highly respected name in the Philadelphia area,” Heller remarked.
