If you love donuts and pizza, you know they can brighten any occasion. These two foods are universal favorites that instantly lift the mood wherever they are served.
Recently, while working with our promotions director, Alexis, she raved about Bitchin Donuts. She claimed they have the best donuts in the Capital Region. Curious and living just two miles away, I decided to visit this weekend and see if they lived up to the hype.
Bitchin Donuts
Located at 193 Lark Street in Albany, Bitchin Donuts is open from Wednesday to Sunday, specializing in vegan donuts. Yes, you read that right—vegan! And even if you’re not vegan, you won’t notice the difference when you try them.
Alexis was spot on; these are indeed the best donuts I’ve ever had. What’s exciting about this shop is that they change their menu each week, so there’s always something new to try.
Here’s what my kids and I sampled:
1. Chocolate Sprinkle
2. Strawberry Frosted (the best donut on the planet)
3. Apple Cider Glazed
4. Brown Sugar Pear
5. Maple Frosted
6. Butterscotch
Each donut was fantastic, but my personal favorite was the brown sugar pear, closely followed by the apple cider glazed.For those with dietary restrictions, Bitchin Donuts also offers gluten-free options. Don’t miss out on this delightful spot!
