A popular doughnut chain from the United States is planning to open its first location in Northern Ireland. Duck Donuts, based in Pennsylvania, has submitted plans to establish a new restaurant at a portion of the former Bank of Ireland building on Ormeau Road, South Belfast.

Duck Donuts was founded in 2007 by Russ DiGilio in North Carolina. Since then, the brand has expanded to over 100 locations across the United States. It also operates internationally, with outlets in Egypt, Canada, and the Philippines.

The chain is known for its diverse range of doughnuts, including seasonal varieties and unique flavors such as Bacon in the Sun, Blueberry Lemonade, and Beach Ball.

According to recent plans, Duck Donuts will occupy Unit Two of the former Bank of Ireland site on Ormeau Road.

The company emphasizes its commitment to customer satisfaction, stating, “We are dedicated to delighting our guests by treating them like family and consistently providing a superior product and exceptional customer service in an authentic manner.”

Duck Donuts also highlights its focus on community engagement and innovation, aiming to make positive changes every day.
