Sweet Treats Coming to Northville: Peace, Love and Little Donuts to Open This Fall.

NORTHVILLE — The downtown area is set to get a delightful new addition with the opening of Peace, Love and Little Donuts later this year.

The vibrant and retro-themed doughnut shop will open its doors in November at 345 E. Cady St., taking over the space previously occupied by Mithai and Chai.

Peace, Love and Little Donuts is renowned for its miniature doughnuts, which come in a range of flavors from classic to inventive. Customers can enjoy favorites such as the cinnamon sugar-coated “Groovy,” the chocolate-glazed “Far-Out,” and the maple bacon “Funkadelic,” topped with crispy bacon. Other flavors include salted caramel macchiato, strawberry shortcake, s’mores, Boston cream pie, sprinkles, magically delicious, raspberry truffle, and chocolate peanut nutter.

Kathy Isgro, a longtime Northville Township resident, and her husband, Frank, are bringing the franchise to Northville. “We discovered Peace, Love and Little Donuts during a vacation,” Kathy Isgro said. “My kids loved them so much that we had them at our graduation parties. Our guests went crazy for them.” This experience inspired them to bring the doughnut shop to their hometown.

The new location will feature a unique doughnut-making process that allows customers to watch as each doughnut is prepared to order. “It’s like food theater,” Isgro explained. “We’ll make doughnuts throughout the day, so there’s always a fresh batch available.” The shop will offer samples so customers can try different flavors or create their own custom combinations. Gluten-friendly and vegan options will also be available based on demand.

In addition to doughnuts, the shop will offer a variety of coffee drinks and fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Isgro, who retired from a career in finance and project management, is excited to join the Northville business community. “We raised our kids in downtown Northville and have always enjoyed the area,” she said. “We believe this new shop will complement the downtown, especially with the upcoming Northville Downs project and its expansion.”

Founded in Pittsburgh in 2009, Peace, Love and Little Donuts began franchising in 2016. The chain now has locations in 11 states, including Michigan shops in Ann Arbor, Traverse City, and Portage, with a new site also coming to Rochester Hills.

While the Northville location is scheduled to open in November, the exact date will depend on the completion of interior work, permitting, and other preparations.
